Pork Chops With Corn Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. yellow cream-style corn
    1 beaten egg
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. minced onion
    7 slices day old bread
    6 pork chops
    1 c. hot water
Preparation
    Put corn in mixing bowl.
    Add onion, egg, salt and sugar; mix. Cut bread in cubes; add to corn mixture to make stiff enough to hold shape.
    Brown chops; salt to taste.
    Drain off excess fat. Divide dressing into 6 parts; heap one part on each chop.
    Pour water around chops, not on dressing.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour in covered dish.
