Icicle Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 lb. cucumber (1 gal.)
    1 c. pickling lime
    1 gal. water
    2 qt. vinegar
    4 lb. sugar
    2 Tbsp. pickling spice
Preparation
    Wash, peel, seed and slice cucumbers.
    Soak in lime water for 24 hours.
    Wash well and drain.
    Mix vinegar, sugar and spices. Pour over cucumbers and soak 2 hours.
    Put over heat, boil 1 hour or until clear.
    Put in hot sterilized jars and seal.
