Savory Chicken On Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. chicken breasts (boneless), cut up in serving pieces
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2 Tbsp. fine chopped chives
    1 clove garlic, fine chopped
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 small can mushrooms, sliced
    4 c. hot cooked rice
    2 Tbsp. fine chopped parsley
    1/4 tsp. thyme
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 chicken bouillon cube, dissolved in 3/4 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Fry chicken until brown in butter about 20 minutes.
    Spoon out all but 3 tablespoons of fat.
    Mix next 6 ingredients together and sprinkle over chicken.
    Pour in bouillon.
    Cover and cook over low heat 20 minutes or until chicken is tender.
    Add mushrooms with liquid.
    Cook 5 minutes longer.
