Beef Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 medium onions, cut up
    2 lb. beef, cut into chunks
    3 large potatoes, cut up
    4 to 6 carrots, thickly sliced
    1 can tomato soup
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    salt and pepper to taste
    3 stalks celery (optional)
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan.
    Stir, cover and bake in a slow oven at 275\u00b0 for 5 hours.
    Serves 6 to 8.
