Elegant Steak And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. tenderized beef round steak
    1 1/2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 can condensed mushroom soup
    1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    1 can sliced mushrooms (reserve liquid)
    2 large onions
    1/2 c. dry sherry
    3 c. hot cooked rice (for serving)
Preparation
    Cut onions in 1/2-inch slices or rings.
    Cut steak in thin strips.
    In large skillet (oven-safe), brown steak in oil over high heat.
    Add onions and saute until tender and crisp.
    Blend soup, sherry wine and liquid from mushrooms with garlic salt.
    Pour over steak and add mushrooms.
    Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
