Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. yellow corn meal
    1 c. all-purpose flour
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    2 eggs
    6 Tbsp. butter
    8 Tbsp. vegetable shortening
    1 1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Sift into a bowl corn meal, flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
    Melt butter and shortening.
    Cool. Beat eggs lightly.
    Add butter and shortening.
    Stir in milk.
    Add to dry ingredients and beat 1 minute until smooth.
    Do not overbeat.
    Butter a loaf pan.
    Pour in batter.
    Bake 30 minutes or until bread comes slightly away from edge of pan and is golden brown.
