Apple Kuchen - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. soft margarine or butter
1 pkg. yellow cake mix (regular size)
1/2 c. flaked coconut
2 1/2 c. sliced, pared baking apples
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. sour cream
2 egg yolks or 1 egg
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Cut butter into dry cake; mix until crumbly.
Mix in coconut.
Pat mixture into ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan, building up slightly around edge of pan.
Bake 10 minutes until edges are light brown.
Do not overbake.
Arrange apple slices on warm crust.
Mix sugar and cinnamon.
Sprinkle on apples.
Blend sour cream and egg.
Drizzle over apples.
(Topping will not completely cover apples.)
Bake 25 minutes or until edges are light brown.
