Peanut Patty - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 c. white Karo syrup
1 c. water
3 c. raw Spanish peanuts
10 drops red food coloring
1/2 c. butter
pinch of salt

Preparation

Combine first 3 ingredients in saucepan.
Bring to boil; add peanuts and food coloring.
Cook over medium heat to a hard boil stage.
Take off heat and add butter and salt.
Beat until thick and pour into well-greased pan (round pizza pan).
Leave whole or break into pieces.
