2/3 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 Tbsp. grated lemon peel
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 c. self-rising flour
1 c. finely chopped pecans
Preparation

Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar.
Add egg, lemon peel and lemon juice; beat well.
Sift together dry ingredients.
Add to creamed mixture; mix well.
Stir in nuts.
