Cottage Cheese Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. cottage cheese
    4 eggs, slightly beaten
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    9 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 c. bread crumbs
Preparation
    Put the cottage cheese in bowl and break up with a fork.
    Add eggs and stir well.
    Add flour and salt.
    Mix until smooth.
    Form into balls with moist hands.
    Drop into 2 quarts of slightly boiling water and cook, covered, for 20 minutes at a gentle boil. Remove from water with slotted spoon and drain.
    Roll in browned buttered crumbs and serve hot with main meat.
