Tomato Juice Cocktail - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 peck very ripe tomatoes, washed and cut up
    4 onions, sliced
    12 sprigs parsley
    2 bay leaves
    spice bag
    2 Tbsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. peppercorns
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. whole cloves with head removed
Preparation
    Place all ingredients in kettle and cook until tomatoes are soft.
    Put through food mill.
    Return to stove and bring to a boil.
    Pour into jars; process in boiling water bath 10 minutes. Makes about 6 quarts.
