Apricot Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 c. flour
    1 1/3 c. coconut
    1/2 c. nuts
    3/4 c. butter
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 (12 oz.) jar apricot preserves (may substitute raspberry)
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add egg and vanilla.
    Add all dry ingredients.
    Mixture will be stiff.
    Add coconut and nuts.
    Take 2/3 of batter and spread into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Spread jam onto mixture.
    Take remaining 1/3 of mixture and crumble on top of jam evenly.
    Bake in preheated oven at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
