Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. self-rising flour
    2 c. buttermilk
    3 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    3/4 c. shortening
    1/2 c. warm water
    1 pkg. yeast
Preparation
    Mix sugar and flour together.
    Cut in shortening.
    In separate bowl, stir soda into milk and blend this into dry ingredients.
    Add yeast to warm water and fold into mixture.
    Turn out on a floured surface and knead.
    Cut the biscuits and bake in a 375\u00b0 oven. Remaining dough can be covered and kept in the refrigerator for 2 weeks.
    Makes 48 biscuits.
