Scottish Beef And Potato Pie(Shepherd'S Pie) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. potatoes
    2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 medium onion, chopped
    3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 lb. ground beef or turkey
    1 c. beef or turkey broth
    2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 Tbsp. ketchup
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. carrots (1/4-inch slices) and peas (optional)
Preparation
    Peel and slice potatoes into 3/8-inch thick slices.
    Place slices into pan with cold water and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
    Bring water to the boil and simmer for 20 minutes or until tender, but not falling apart.
    Drain and set aside.
