Creamy Pecan Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. whipping cream
    1 stick butter (not oleo)
    3 c. broken pecans
    1/3 c. white corn syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Caramelize half cup of sugar (melted over low flame, stirring constantly).
    Add 1/3 stick butter to melted sugar.
    Bring to a boil sugar, corn syrup and cream.
    Add caramelized mixture and cook to soft ball stage.
    Add rest of butter, pecans and vanilla. Stir well until begins to thicken.
    Drop on waxed paper by spoonfuls to cool.
