Asparagus And Parmesan Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. green and/or white asparagus
    3 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 tsp. fresh thyme or basil
    1/4 tsp. Dijon style mustard
    1 clove garlic, minced
    salt and pepper
    finely shredded Parmesan cheese
    parsley
    basil
    slivered garlic (optional)
Preparation
    Place asparagus in a steamer basket.
    Place basket in a large skillet over boiling water.
    Reduce heat, cover and steam for 5 to 7 minutes or until asparagus is crisp tender.
    Remove from steamer and cool slightly.
    Meanwhile, for dressing, in a screw top jar, combine olive oil, lemon juice, thyme, mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper to taste.
    Cover and shake until combined.
    Arrange asparagus on a platter.
    Drizzle with dressing.
    Sprinkle with cheese, parsley and if desired basil/garlic.
