Tomato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 bushel tomatoes
    2 stalks celery
    2 onions
    2 peppers
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. canning salt
    1 c. cornstarch
    1/2 c. butter
Preparation
    Cook vegetables.
    Put through tomato strainer.
    Put back on stove.
    Bring to boil.
    Add salt, sugar and butter; add water to cornstarch to make paste.
    When this comes to rolling boil, seal in pint or quart jars.
