Dove Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

10 to 12 doves
3 chopped onions
red and black pepper to taste
salt to taste
2 medium onions
1 c. rice
2 cans onion soup
2 small cans mushrooms
1 (4 oz.) jar pimento
Preparation

Cover the first 4 ingredients with water.
Boil until doves are tender.
Debone doves and set aside.
Brown 2 medium finely chopped onions in 1 stick butter.
Add 1 cup uncooked rice and brown.
Mix 2 cans of onion soup, 2 small cans mushrooms, 1 small (4 ounce) jar pimento and deboned doves.
Add this mixture to browned rice and place in casserole.
Cover with foil.
Bake 45 minutes at 400\u00b0. Turn off oven and let stand 10 minutes in oven.
