Crumb Apple Pie - cooking recipe

9-inch pastry shell (unbaked), chilled
1 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. soft butter
6 c. peeled and sliced Granny Smith apples
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
juice of 1/2 lemon
Preparation

Combine flour, brown sugar, salt and butter; blend until crumbly and set aside. Combine apples, sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon and toss gently to coat apples. Spoon apple mixture into chilled crust. Sprinkle crumb topping over apples. Wrap foil around edge of crust. Bake at 350\u00b0 until apples are tender, about 1 hour. Remove foil after first 30 minutes of baking.
