Hayden Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. ripe tomatoes
    1 gal. cabbage
    1 qt. onions
    1/2 doz. green peppers
    1 c. salt
    3 Tbsp. mustard
    2 Tbsp. ginger
    1 tsp. each: cloves, celery seed and cinnamon
    3 lb. sugar
    1/2 gal. vinegar
Preparation
    Grind together the tomatoes, cabbage, onions and green peppers. Add salt and let set for 2 hours.
