Sausage Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. bulk hot sausage
    1 c. long grain rice
    1 c. onion, chopped
    1 c. celery, chopped
    1 c. carrots, sliced
    1 tsp. fennel seed
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 c. slivered almonds, toasted
    1 (14 oz.) can chicken bouillon (undiluted)
Preparation
    Break up sausage; brown and drain well.
    Mix with next 8 ingredients; place in casserole.
    (At this point, it may be refrigerated for a day.)
    When ready to bake, add bouillon. Bake, covered, for 1 1/4 hours at 350\u00b0.
    Serves 6 to 8 as side dish.
