Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1/2 c. margarine
2 tsp. ammonium carbonate crystals, crushed (can be purchased at some drugstores)
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. shredded coconut
powdered sugar
Preparation

Cream shortening and margarine.
Add ammonia crystals and sugar gradually, creaming well.
Add flour, a little at a time. Add coconut and form into small balls.
Place 1 inch apart on baking sheet and bake at 325\u00b0 for about 15 minutes.
Roll in powdered sugar immediately after baked.
