Easy Turtles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. pecan halves
    24 sq. light caramels
    1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    2 tsp. vegetable oil
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 325\u00b0.
    Line a baking sheet with foil.
    Grease foil well.
    Arrange pecans in clusters of 4, flat sides down, 1/2-inch apart.
    Place 1 caramel on top of each cluster, pressing into pecans to flatten slightly and hold pecans together.
    Place in oven; bake for 5 to 7 minutes, until caramels are soft.
    Remove from oven; carefully flatten each caramel with a flat, buttered knife.
    In a 1-cup glass measure, combine chocolate chips and oil. Heat in microwave on High 45 to 60 seconds, until smooth.
    Spoon chocolate over Turtles, until covered.
    Refrigerate 1 hour, until set.
    Store and serve at room temperature.
    Yields 2 dozen Turtles.
