Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter or margarine
    3 c. sugar
    3 2/3 c. sifted plain flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. Crisco
    6 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift the flour and baking powder 3 times.
    Combine all ingredients. Start in cold oven.
    Turn to 325\u00b0 and bake 1 hour and 10 minutes or longer. Take out when you can barely see a fingerprint.
    Frost with Lemon Sauce while hot.
