Date And Nut Bars - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 stick butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. nuts, chopped fine
Preparation

Melt margarine or butter.
Beat eggs until light and thick. Gradually add sugar and vanilla.
Add melted margarine or butter. Sift flour, salt, and baking powder together and add to mixture. Add dates and nuts.
Pour into greased 7x11 or 8x8 pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
Cool on rack.
Cut into bars and roll in confectioners sugar.
