American Cookies No Eggs - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. margarine
2 c. sifted flour
5 Tbsp. powdered sugar
2 tsp. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. nuts
Preparation

Cream the margarine thoroughly.
Sift flour once; measure.
Add gradually and cream together well.
Add sugar and mix well.
Add nuts and mix well.
Roll into small balls in floured hands and place on greased cookie sheet.
Flatten slightly with floured bottom of cup or glass and press edges with a fork dipped in flour. Bake in slow oven at 325\u00b0 for 13 minutes or until done.
Remove and sprinkle with sugar.
Makes 6 dozen 1 1/2-inch cookies.
