Swiss Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. boneless round steak
1 medium onion
1 can (28 oz.) chopped tomatoes
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Trim fat off of meat and cut into serving size pieces. Salt and pepper and dredge in flour. Pound flour into meat with a mallet or saucer. Fry in cooking oil browning on both sides. Remove form heat and drain off excess fat. Add tomatoes and onions to frying pan and bring to a boil. Add meat back to pan, cover and simmer about 1 hour until meat is fork tender.
