Fishes Dipped In Six Perfumes(The Chinese Invented This One (It Says Here). Have Fun!) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. whitefish fillets, cut into bite size pieces
    lemon juice (to moisten)
    1 Tbsp. onion pulp
    water (to cover fish)
    cayenne pepper
    2 to 3 lightly beaten eggs
    3 Tbsp. butter (plus enough to brown fish in)
    5 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    1 to 2 tsp. cornstarch
    pinch of powdered anise or mace
Preparation
    Moisten fish with lemon juice.
    Marinate in enough water to cover along with the onion pulp (you could pulp the onion directly with the water in a blender) for 2 hours.
    Drain and reserve liquid.
    Dust fish with a little anise or mace, then with cayenne. Dip
    in lightly beaten eggs and fry to golden brown in butter. Remove fish to a hot platter.
    Add 3 tablespoons butter to marinade and soy sauce in which the cornstarch has been suspended. Simmer until thickened.
    Put in fish. Simmer 2 minutes. Remove fish to platter. Serve sauce separately.
