Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. Crisco
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 oz. red food coloring
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Cream Crisco, sugar and eggs.
    Make a paste of the food coloring and cocoa; add to the first mixture.
    Add salt, flour, buttermilk and vanilla; mix well.
    Mix in, but do not beat, the vinegar and soda.
    Bake in 2 (9-inch) or 3 (8-inch) pans at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
