Five Hour Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. stew meat
carrots
large can tomatoes
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. red cooking wine
1 can sliced water chestnuts (optional)
quartered potatoes
onions
scant Tbsp. salt
3 Tbsp. quick dry tapioca
Preparation
-
In covered Dutch oven pan, combine meat, potatoes, carrots, onions, tomatoes, salt, sugar, tapioca and red wine.
Place in 300\u00b0 oven with lid on for 5 hours.
Do not stir.
