Strawberry Coconut Divinity(Make On A Dry Day With Low Humidity) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    3/4 c. light corn syrup
    3/4 c. water
    2 egg whites, beaten stiff
    1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry-flavored gelatin
    1/2 c. flaked coconut
    1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    In a heavy bottom saucepan, combine the sugar, corn syrup and water and bring to a boil, stirring constantly, then cover and let boil 3 minutes while the steam washes down any crystals formed on the sides of the pan.
    Remove lid and cook to hard ball stage (250\u00b0 on your candy thermometer).
    Stir occasionally while cooking to hard ball stage.
    While this is cooking, beat egg whites and combine them with the gelatin in another saucepan; pour the hot syrup in a thin stream into the egg white-gelatin mixture, beating simultaneously.
    Mixture will lose gloss and begin to hold shape. Fold in coconut and nuts.
    Pour into buttered 9-inch square pan. Let cool.
    Cut into pieces.
