Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 stick oleo or butter
1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
1/2 c. milk
4 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. quick cooking oatmeal
1 c. chopped walnuts or coconut
Preparation

Boil sugar, milk, oleo and cocoa for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. (Start timing after mixture reaches full rolling boil.) Remove from heat; add peanut butter, oatmeal, vanilla and nuts or coconut.
Beat until blended.
Drop by spoonfuls on wax paper and cool.
