Shrimp And Okra Gumbo - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 to 5 lb. shrimp
2 lb. okra
1 large onion
2 fresh tomatoes
1 Tbsp. shortening
1 pod green pepper
salt to taste
Preparation

Remove heads
of
shrimp;
wash
thoroughly;
then boil about 10\tminutes.
Chop\tokra
fine; mince onions.
Fry okra, onion and pepper
slightly.\tAdd
chopped up tomatoes.
Fry a few minutes then add two quarts of boiling water, in which the shrimp have been cooked.
Boil\tfor
about
2
hours on a slow fire.
Serve with steamed rice.
