Fried Okra And Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. (3/4-inch thick) sliced okra
    2 Tbsp. bacon drippings or vegetable oil
    1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Fry okra (fold lightly while cooking, do not mash) until brown.
    Drain well.
    Drain tomatoes and crush.
    Place okra back into the pan.
    Pour tomatoes over top and cook about 10 minutes, stirring lightly.
