Perfect Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sifted flour
    1/4 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. yellow corn meal
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. shortening
Preparation
    Sift flour with sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in corn meal. Add eggs, milk and shortening.
    Beat with electric mixer until smooth, about 1 minute (do not overbeat). Pour into greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Bake in hot oven at 425\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
