Hot German-Style Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 slices bacon
    1 green pepper, cut in chunks
    1/3 c. water
    3 Tbsp. cider vinegar
    2 tsp. sugar
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    2 cans (16 oz. each) sliced, drained potatoes
    1 can Durkee onions
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    In large skillet fry bacon until crisp. Remove, crumble and set aside.
    Drain all but 2 tablespoons of fat.
    Add green pepper and cook until tender-crisp.
    Stir in water, vinegar, sugar, cornstarch and seasonings.
    Simmer, uncovered, until thickened.
    Gently stir in potatoes, crumbled bacon and 1/2 can of onions.
    Spoon into 1 1/2-quart casserole. Bake, covered, 35 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
    Top with remaining onions.
    Bake, uncovered, 3 minutes, until golden brown. Makes 4 servings.
