Ingredients

1 large onion, sliced cross
3 tsp. beaten egg
1 c. milk
1/8 tsp. salt
2/3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in milk and egg. Separate the onion into rings.
Let chill in ice water 15 to 20 minutes, then dip in batter. Fry a small amount at a time in deep fat at 375\u00b0.
Drain on absorbent paper.
