Peanut Blossoms - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter
2 Tbsp. milk
4 doz. candy kisses
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Combine all ingredients, except candy in large mixer bowl. Mix on lowest speed.
Shape dough into balls with teaspoon.
Roll balls in sugar.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Top each cookie with a candy kiss. Press down firmly so cookie cracks around edges.
