Old Fashioned Cocoa Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2/3 c. oleo
1 2/3 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2/3 c. cocoa
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/3 c. water
1/2 c. crushed candy peppermint (optional)

Preparation

Beat first 4 ingredients at high speed for 3 minutes.
Combine dry ingredients; add alternately with water to creamed mixture. Blend just until combined; add candy.
Pour into 2 greased and cocoa-dusted 9-inch cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
