Tomato Pepper Steak In Crock Pot - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lbs. round steak
    1/4 cup shortening
    1/2 cup all purpose flour
    2 green peppers
    2 medium to large onions
    1 (16 oz.) can diced tomatoes
    1 large can tomato juice
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cut steak into 2
    1/2 to 3 inch pieces.
    Heat shortening in large skillet.
    Coat steak with flour, salt and pepper.
    Brown steak in shortening over medium heat (about 10-15 minutes).
    Cut peppers and onions into large rings.
    Layer meat, peppers, and onions in crock pot.
    Cover with tomatoes and tomato juice.
    Cook on low heat for 3 to 4 hours.
    Serve over cooked rice.
