Ingredients

4 c. flour (White Lily is the best)
4 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. Crisco
1 1/3 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Mix all dry ingredients together, then mix in the shortening and mix until looks like corn meal.
Then add the buttermilk and mix together and dump on a piece of foil with some flour scattered on it and knead just enough to work with the dough and pat to thickness desired and cut out and place on greased cookie sheet. Then bake for about 20 minutes at 425\u00b0.
