Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 to 4 c. sliced peaches or cherries
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. milk
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Pour 3/4 cup sugar over peaches (or cherries) and let stand. Melt margarine in an 8 x 8-inch baking dish. Make a batter of sugar, flour, baking powder, milk and salt. Pour batter into dish. Then pour peaches over batter. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
