Colonial Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    3/4 c. buttermilk or use 3/4 c. milk and 3/4 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. molasses
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Measure all ingredients into bowl and beat at low speed until blended.
    Increase speed to medium and continue beating for 3 minutes.
    Pour into an 8 x 8-inch greased and floured pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Makes 16 servings.
