Caramel Corn - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. unpopped popcorn
2 c. light brown sugar
2 sticks margarine
1/2 c. light Karo corn syrup
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Pop the corn to make 1 1/2 gallons.
Combine brown sugar, margarine and corn syrup; cook until well blended.
Add cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
(This mixture becomes foamy and increases in volume.)
Pour hot mixture over popcorn; stir well.
