Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. squash
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 beaten eggs
    1 c. milk
    2 c. grated sharp cheese
    1 1/2 c. saltine cracker crumbs
    1 stick melted margarine
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. sugar
Preparation
    Cook prepared squash (or use canned squash) and onion in enough water to cover for 8 to 15 minutes.
    When tender, drain and mash.
    Add other ingredients and mix thoroughly.
    Bake in a long, buttered casserole dish for 1 hour at 300\u00b0.
    Serves 8.
