Fruit Cocktail Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1 c. plain flour
    1 c. fruit cocktail, drained
    1/2 c. nuts
    1 stick butter
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cream
Preparation
    Beat sugar and eggs together, then add flours and fruit cocktail.
    Pour into floured pan.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 until done.
    Then cook nuts, butter, sugar and cream for about 10 minutes after it comes to a rolling boil; pour this mixture over hot cake.
