Salsa Marinara(Marinara Sauce) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. virgin olive oil
    1 1/2 c. chopped yellow onion
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1/4 c. chopped flat-leaf parsley
    2 (28 oz.) cans plum tomatoes (1 can drained)
    2 tsp. dried oregano, crumbled
    2 tsp. dried basil, crumbled
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Preparation
    In a 3 to 4-quart saucepan, set over medium heat, warm the oil for one minute.
    Add the onion, garlic and parsley.
    Cook and stir for 2 minutes.
    Add the tomatoes and crush them with the back of a wooden spoon.
    Add the oregano and the basil; stir well to combine.
