Sausage Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. water
    1 large onion
    1 large can tomatoes
    1 large bay leaf
    1 1/2 tsp. thyme
    1 large jar navy beans and liquid
    1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. hot sausage, fried and drained (1 lb. mild and 1 lb. hot)
    2 large potatoes
    1/2 green pepper
Preparation
    Combine first 10 ingredients and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
    Dice potatoes and green pepper, add to chowder and cook for 30 minutes.
