French Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. warm water
    1 envelope dry yeast
    1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. oil
    2 1/4 tsp. salt
    6 c. flour
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in water.
    Combine all other ingredients (flour last) and knead thoroughly.
    (Really punch it out.)
    Punch down every 10 minutes for 1 hour.
    Divide in half and let rise 10 minutes to 1 hour.
    Roll into jelly roll.
    Use rolling pin to roll out.
    Then roll like jelly roll.
    Let rise 1 to 1 1/2 hours on a well-greased cookie sheet.
    Bake 30 minutes at 400\u00b0.
    Brush with butter immediately from oven.
