Orange Slice Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 1/3 c. buttermilk
1 c. butter or shortening
4 c. flour
4 eggs
1 lb. orange slices (candy)
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. nuts
1 lb. dates

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar thoroughly.
Add eggs and beat about 2 minutes, then add dry ingredients and milk.
Take 1 cup of your flour and mix with the orange slices and dates before putting into the batter.
Bake in stem pan.
Bake in slow oven about 350\u00b0 for about an hour or until done.
